­in June 2016, Google launched the Motion Stills application for the iOS platform, which makes full use of its video stabilization technology to fix the background in still pictures or create film-level panoramas, as well as the ability to create GIF animated pictures and short films that can be easily shared to social networks. After a long wait, Google announced the launch of the app on its own Android platform.
