It is easier to solve videoconferencing problems through Google conferencing
Google has announced new tools for Google Meet that will make it easier for users experiencing problems to solve common problems in video conferencing. As more and more employees work from home, the use of videoconferencing software has increased dramatically. However, connectivity and other issues in video calls can reduce the productivity of remote teams working from home.
As a result, Google has added a new "Troubleshooting and Help" option to the meeting three-point menu above Settings.
When users click the Troubleshooting and Help options in Meetings during a video call, they will see information about the quality of their Internet connection and the current load on the system, as well as tips on how to improve video conferencing.
In a blog post on Google Workspace, Google explains how it tries to fix the poor network performance they encounter with overloaded systems or video calls. According to the report, users:
" Meet shares processing power and network connectivity with all other applications and browser tabs running on your computer. When a system overuses its processing power or suffers from poor network connectivity, Meet will attempt to tune and maintain its performance while consuming fewer resources. Some of these adjustments aren't obvious, but if resource shortages are severe or persistent, users may notice video blur, audio interference, or other issues. "
By default, all Meet users have access to Google Meet's "Troubleshooting and Help" option, and new features have been rolled out.
