Apple pay-as-you-go Express enters London bus

The feeling of using mobile phones to pay for diesel, rice and oil seems to be in the future, but the reality sometimes slows down because mobile payments require authentication and take time to approve. To solve this problem, Apple brought its Express function to London, making it faster and easier to use Apple Pay on services such as Tube.

Now, Apple's fast model can be used for all TfL services in London, including buses, trams and underground systems. Users only need to touch Apple Watch on their mobile phone or yellow card reader to pay for the trip.

Apple usually uses biometric data such as touch ID or Face ID to authorize payments, which makes it pay more slowly than rival Google. Now, with the help of the "express mode", customers can choose the default card for TfL journeys, so they don't have to verify payment every time they get on the bus or cross an obstacle.

The system can be used with iPhone 6 and later or Apple Watch. Similar systems have been implemented elsewhere, including New York, Portland, Beijing, Shanghai and all cities.
