Google Stadia has been released for several days, allowing you to deliver high-quality games over a reliable Internet connection. You don't need video games or anything fancy, because you can stream subtitles on TV via Chromecast.

Unfortunately, several people seem to have reported on reddit that their game time has been shortened due to the overheating of their Chromecast Ultra devices.

"I was in the battle of Destiny 2 when suddenly my Chromecast died and lost my connection to the network. I unplugged the power and it was very hot." User armadeon7479 read a post. Several other users reminded their streaming encryption dogs that they were hot or off during the session.

However, this does not seem to be a particularly relevant issue for Stadia, as users notice that Chromecast Ultra tends to overheat at first. In fact, complaints about Chromecast overheating can be traced back to the first device.

It is also important to note that Chromecast Ultra only plays Stadia subtitles (up to 4K/60fps) and does not do any heavy work in these games. Therefore, in theory, it is no different from streaming long 4K/60fps video clips.

Google Chromecast Ultra security messages show that the touch device is "normal". However, as the user reports in the reddit thread, it is obviously not normal to shut down the device.

Have you ever encountered these problems when using Chromecast Ultra (playing Google Stadia or other methods)?
