Yu Chengdong also released the Hongmeng OS architecture map. Hongmeng OS is currently used in watch applications, large screen applications, car applications and PC applications. The program framework is a multi-user program framework, and the basic services include multi-RunTime, general system services, lot device proprietary services, distributed data management, virtual peripherals, UI& graphics and distributed soft bus, and the kernel is Linux kernel, Hongmeng micro kernel and LiteOS.

According to reports, Hongmeng OS, as a product of Huawei welcoming the era of full-scene experience, will give full play to its lightweight, compact and powerful advantages, and will be the first to be applied to smart terminals such as smartwatches, smart screens, vehicle devices, and smart speakers, focusing on building a cross-terminal integration and sharing ecology, reshaping a safe and reliable operating environment, and creating a new experience of intelligent life in the full scene for consumers.

Hongmeng OS is the first distributed architecture used in terminal OS to achieve seamless collaborative experience across terminals; Hongmeng OS solves the problem of insufficient performance of the existing system by using two major technologies: a definite delay engine and high-performance IPC; and Hongmeng OS adopts a brand-new micro-kernel design with stronger security features and low latency.
