Update of Office App on iOS to enhance compatibility with Apple Files App
Microsoft today updated Word, Excel and PowerPoint productivity applications on iOS, and the latest version enhances compatibility with Apple's Files app. Now when users browse office documents in the iOS 11 Files application, they can open them directly with the corresponding software. Although the adjustment was not written to the update log, a Twitter user noticed the change earlier today.
OnMSFT is then tested in Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents stored locally and in OneDrive on iOS, and can be opened seamlessly and normally. Before this update, the user clicks on the Office document in the Files app to load the preview version, and the user needs to click the iOS Share button to open the document in the correct Office application.
