­after months of testing with four developer previews, Google today officially named the Android 8.0 operating system update as "Oreo". Through the Android Beta project channel, Google announced today the system image of Oreo, and interested beginners can download the supported devices by manual input. Google also said it would push Android 8.0 updates for Nexus and Pixel devices "in the next few weeks."

­so how can other mobile phone manufacturers follow suit? Google said today that Essential, HTC, Huawei, Kyocera, Motorola, HMD Global (Nokia), Samsung, Sharp and Sony will release new devices with the system or upgrade supporting devices before the end of the year.

­it needs to be clear here that there is no specific launch date in the statement, and there are differences in product upgrades, which does not rule out the launch of new devices with Android 8.0 before the end of the year, while existing equipment upgrades will have to wait until 2018.

­according to the information currently available, the next generation of Pixel devices will be manufactured by HTC and LG, which should be announced in the next few weeks. HTC has confirmed that the newly released U11 flagship will receive Android 8.0, while other vendors have not yet announced specific upgrade plans.
