Amazon offers a $20 free gift card to Fitbit Versa Lite

Fitbit's first full-featured smartwatch, first launched in 2017, didn't exactly hit gold, but the cheaper, prettier Versa hit the market in 2018, helping the company (and at the same time) return to profitability and significantly increase its influence in the United States.

Unfortunately, the cheaper Fitbit Versa Lite version doesn't keep the brand ahead of Samsung in terms of smartwatch shipments worldwide, which is why the actual sequel to the original Versa has significant battery life boosts and built-in Alexa assistive features, apparently in preparation for a commercial debut. Apparently, that means price increases may also be in the works, which makes the first-generation Versa and Versa Lite still enjoy considerable appeal through their manufacturer's official U.S. electronics store at a $30 discount.

While Amazon is selling a slightly lower end version at the same price cut, you can also get nice rewards from the e-commerce giant's brand new Fitbit Versa Lite. That's a $20 gift card. Of course, we're not talking about actual paper, but rather emailing the code to all eligible buyers by Oct. 8 for redemption on Amazon.

There's no hard work or special requirements to get an e-coupon, but keep in mind that there are limits to these neat little free gifts. For example, gift cards cannot be used to purchase products sold by third-party vendors or "other Amazon entities," even if the product is listed as "Prime" or "executed by Amazon.com."

As far as the smartwatch itself is concerned, you should know that you can choose from five different color combinations at the same discount, while gaining almost all the basics of lifestyle and health tracking. We're talking notifications on the large size color LCD panel on Android phones and iPhones, 24/7 heart rate monitoring, sleep quality information, 4 days of battery life, GPS connectivity and up to 50 meters of water resistance.
