It seems that Samsung may release a new Galaxy Note phone. Fans of this series are not entirely keen on hands-on operations.

Samsung appears to be preparing for a second-generation Galaxy Fold with a larger display, according to newly discovered patent applications and a new report from South Korean website The Elec. However, it sounds like this is really just the new Galaxy Fold in its name. This new collapsible product will include support for S Pen and apply it to all practical Galaxy Note designs-the key difference is that it will become a collapsible product.

Assuming Samsung has started ordering parts to support the addition of S Pen to its next foldable product, the new device could be launched later this year and is said to be in development.

In August, Samsung submitted a patent to the US Patent and Trademark Office describing a collapsible Samsung phone that can be folded back so that the display is external (h/tLetsGoDigital), which supports this expectation.

However, the focus of this patent has nothing to do with its collapsibility, but with the input mechanism. It reveals that even if Samsung's fingers and / or stylus are applied to the folding line of the display, it seems to improve its function.

Why is it so important? Okay, this is a use case where the user wants to use a stylus to drag the icon from half of the collapsible screen to the top of the fold line, and then to the other half of the monitor. As envisioned in this patent, users can also write on the folding line if they wish.

It's interesting to think about all this for a few simple reasons. Samsung has made it clear that it wants foldable devices to become a thing, although they are still niche products with few fans. Its first attempt at appearance, Galaxy Fold, is rarely popular in the market. On the other hand, Galaxy Notes has a lot of fans-so the idea here may be to promote the development of new collapsible concepts that try to enrich themselves with brands and design styles that users already like? This is still a long-term attempt, but it may provide consumers with things like Galaxy Note, and folding may be better than completely new devices on the market, such as Fold, where signature is such a strange new design element. Of course, it is not that we are optimistic.
