Apple has added two battery enhancements to iOS 9. First of all, when iPhone and iPad upgrade to the latest iOS 9, the battery life will be increased by one hour. On the other hand, iOS 9 adds a new low-power mode that increases battery life by three hours. How is this achieved? The low power mode can be turned on manually in the setting. When the power is less than 20%, it will prompt whether to turn on the low power mode.

On the Samsung Galaxy S6, power-saving mode reduces CPU speed, screen brightness and refresh rate, while in super-power-saving mode, the screen changes to grayscale and many apps are disabled. Android 5.0 comes with a power-saving mode that turns off phone vibrations, degrades performance, and stops app synchronization and updates. Google claims that the feature can extend the battery life of Android devices by 90 minutes.

Extending battery life through power-saving mode is a new experience for iOS users. Before that, many iPhone users used back clamps to extend battery life.
