Sun Wei said that the promotion and popularity of 4G mainly depends on two killer applications, live streaming and short video, which is a good inspiration for the promotion of 5G. Live streaming and short viewing, two killer 4G applications, require bandwidth that the previous 2G / 3G could not support, so users switch to 4G to watch.

In his view, 5G killer applications should have the following characteristics:

5G network is required for use, and 4G cannot operate smoothly.

It is novel, entertaining and can drive users to switch to 5G.

It must be for C-end consumers, not industrial applications.
