This is the second international standard in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles dominated and officially released by China since the first international standard ISO 21895:2020 Classification Requirements for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles was issued in February 2020.

CTOnews.com understands that this standard is jointly led by relevant units under the guidance of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. ISO / TC20 / SC16 was established in November 2019 and has been published for nearly three years.

The General Requirements for Tethered UAV Systems specify general requirements for tethered UAV system composition, function, performance, etc., detailed requirements for airborne monitoring systems, power and electrical systems, power transmission systems, ground control stations, etc., as well as ground support and test verification requirements, which can effectively guide the development, production, testing and use of tethered UAV systems and components.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, at present, China still has 11 international standards in ISO TC20 / SC16, such as "Test Method for Civil Multi-rotor UAV System,""General Requirements for Flight Control System of Civil Light and Small Multi-rotor UAV,""UAV Sensing and Collision Avoidance System," etc., which will be issued according to procedures for the sixth time.
