Microsoft releases Visual Studio 2022 version 17.3: supports the official version of .NET MAUI to improve the performance of C++
CTOnews.com August 11, Microsoft today released Visual Studio 2022 version 17.3. This update brings UI (. NET MAUI) support for .NET multi-platform applications, the ability to develop applications for Microsoft Teams, C++ improvements, Azure container applications, and improved Live Unit Testing.
The main feature in this update is that the .NET MAUI has been released from the preview version and is now available in the Visual Studio 2022 release channel on Windows. This support includes productivity features that help users quickly build .NET client applications from a single code base and publish them to Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows. Hot Reload, Live Visual Tree and XAML Live Preview are some of the tools that can improve productivity.
Microsoft has also added Teams Toolkit to Visual Studio, which helps users create applications for Teams. If you want to create a Teams Command Bot that responds to chat commands, you can use Teams Toolkit, which automatically configures Bot Framework. If users want to start using the toolkit, Microsoft has created a demonstration of how to use the toolkit to create a notification robot.
This update also introduces low-priority builds for C++, where developers can limit the CPU power of compiled code. It also introduces new static analysis checks on std::optional to help write more secure code. Microsoft says it has been working to improve the performance of C++. Compared with previous versions of Visual Studio, Visual Studio now has about twice the ability to index and color C++ code.
