CTOnews.com August 11 news, according to Interface News, Tudor Brown, former president of Arm, has resigned from SMIC's board of directors.

Tudor Brown disclosed his departure on its LinkedIn page: "Today is bittersweet. I stepped down as a SMIC director for nine years."

Brown is one of the founders of Arm and has been on SMIC's board of directors for nine years. Brown is also a director of Lenovo Group. According to his LinkedIn profile, he was a key executive at Arm from 1990 to May 2012.

As of the release of CTOnews.com, SMIC has not issued an announcement to confirm the departure of Tudor Brown. According to SMIC's announcement in May, the board consists of three category I directors, namely, Dr. Gao Yonggang, Mr. Lu Guoqing and Mr. William Tudor Brown.
