In addition, the Redmi K50 e-sports version has been recruited through the Android 13-based MIUI development version, and testing is expected to begin around mid-late August.

CTOnews.com learned that starting with MIUI based on Android 13, MIUI will focus on both the "development version" and the "official version". The MIUI development version will continue to be updated weekly, and the official version will be updated according to user usage.

Xiaomi also promised that the development version and the official version will gradually switch between versions that do not need to erase data.

Xiaomi said that the new features and optimizations will be released as a development version first, iteratively update the product experience, and then released as an official version after the functionality and stability are reliable. The new development version will recruit more users who actively participate in the co-construction, and the internal test scores will also be adjusted with the development version to join the Xiaomi community growth system. Xiaomi will issue the "Development Edition Internal Test Commemorative Virtual Medal" for internal test users who have always supported MIUI.
