HBO has announced that the first episode of The Dragon Family has become its most-watched premiere series ever, according to The Verge. In the U.S. alone, the number of people watching the episode on Sunday local time on cable and HBO Max streaming reached 9.986 million.

IGN currently rates the show 8 points. On Douban, Dragon Family scored 8.7 points, lower than the first seven seasons of Game of Thrones.

Martin's Fire and Blood, is set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones and tells the story of the Targaryen family, and that the plot will include a Civil War "Blood Dragon Mania."
