CTOnews.com August 23, Samsung launched a new 98-inch Neo QLED TV in South Korea. Compared with last year's model, this year's 98-inch TV, which has a 4K resolution, higher brightness, better image quality and more powerful speakers, sells for 45000000 won (about 229500 yuan) in South Korea.

The TV, KQ98QNB100, features a 98-inch Mini-LED panel with a 4K resolution and a maximum brightness of up to 5000 nits. Due to the use of 14-bit panel and Neo Quantum Processor + processor, its brightness has 16384 level adjustment ability. Its artificial intelligence-driven image processor can enhance non-4K content to 4K resolution. The new machine also has HDR10, HDR10 + and HLG functions, but still lacks the Dolby horizon.

CTOnews.com learned that the TV has a 6.4.4 channel speaker configuration with a total power of 120W. These include six front-fired speakers, four up-fired speakers, and four subwoofers that support Object Sound Tracking + and Q-Symphony to provide better audio and integrate with Samsung Sound.

In addition, the TV uses a metal fuselage and is only 19.9 mm thick (35% thinner than the previous generation of televisions). Run Samsung's Tizen operating system, support Bixby, Alexa, Samsung Health, Samsung TV Plus and SmartThings functions. Samsung's KQ98QNB100 will be launched in Europe as QE98QN100B and in the United States as QN98QN100B in the coming months.
