CTOnews.com August 23 news, the domestic CPU leading enterprise Godson announced that on August 20, the people's Government of Henan Province and Godson signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement, and the people's governments of Zhengzhou, Hebi and Xuchang respectively signed cooperation agreements with Godson. In the follow-up, they will jointly carry out all-round cooperation in integrated circuits, basic software, advanced computing, Xinchuang ecology and other fields.

In the next step, Godson will set up Godson Central Plains headquarters, build R & D and innovation center and build Godson industrial ecology in Henan Province.

CTOnews.com learned that Godson originated from the "Godson" project, which began in 2001 by the Institute of Computing of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, was established in 2008 and began market-oriented operation in 2010. "Godson" is one of the earliest general-purpose processors developed in China.

In 2020, based on 20 years of CPU development and ecological construction, Godson launched the Godson instruction system (LoongArch), including infrastructure and vector instructions, virtualization, binary translation and other extension parts, nearly 2000 instructions.

At present, Godson LoongArch architecture has been supported by Linux system, GO language and GCC compiler. In addition, the SMBIOS specification has supported the Godson LoongArch architecture, and since then the basic hardware information developed based on the dragon architecture platform will be standardized and uniformly displayed, and the dragon architecture has become another independent CPU instruction system architecture supported by SMBIOS after x86, ARM, and RISC-V.

In June this year, Godson China Landing Co., Ltd. listed on the board.
