Sony announced another price increase for Japanese products: the prices of cameras, Walkman and other 129 products will be raised by about 8%.

CTOnews.com, August 24, Sony announced today that starting from September 1, 2022, it will revise the shipping prices and suggested retail prices of 129 products sold in Japan, including digital non-reflex cameras, E-card microcamera lenses, Blu-ray disc burners, cameras, portable audio players (including Walkman), radios, etc., by an average of about 8%.

Sony Marketing explained that the price adjustment was "in response to the recent increase in raw material, manufacturing and logistics costs caused by the external environment".

Products with increased prices include high-end Walkman NW-WM1ZM2, Walkman S-Series NW-S315, SRS-WS1 wearable neck speakers, mirrorless α 7 III and α 6600 integrated zoom lens kits, FE 16-35mm interchangeable lenses and FE 16-35mm F2.8 GM and Sonnar T* FE 35mm F2.8 ZA, as well as some BD and IC tape recorders.

CTOnews.com learned that this is the second time that Soni has announced a price increase for its products since it announced a price increase in April.
