CTOnews.com August 24 news, Coolpad Group today issued an interim results announcement for the period ended June 30, 2022. Revenue for the first half of the year was 140.5 million Hong Kong dollars (about 123 million yuan), down 56.1 percent from the same period last year. The net loss attributable to owners was 303 million Hong Kong dollars (about 264 million yuan), an increase of 27.4 percent over the same period last year.

In the first half of 2022, Kupai Group shipped 195600 smartphones in the Chinese mainland market, and the cumulative number of monthly Internet active users in Chinese mainland reached 219000.

In terms of research and development, Coolpad Group ranked seventh in the 2021 Top 100 list of Shenzhen enterprises released by the intellectual property Protection Center of Shenzhen, China. Continue to contribute new features to the well-known open source file system EROFS, which has been incorporated into the Linux mainline and supported by Android 13, and is currently an auditor of this project.

In addition, in April 2022, Coolpad Group and Tencent Cloud reached a strategic cooperation agreement, under which the two sides set up a joint laboratory to jointly explore and develop the underlying technologies of the next generation operating system.

CTOnews.com learned that as of June 30, 2022, Coolpad had set up more than 5700 service stations, covering all regions of Chinese mainland, and employed 538 people.
