Chen Rui said that as a comprehensive industry, users will be the most important producers and consumers of digital content, and user-generated content will be the mainstream of meta-universe.

Chen Rui believes that information technology has experienced the transformation from the PC Internet stage to the mobile Internet stage, and meta-universe will be one of the development directions in the future.

In his view, meta-universe, like the mobile Internet, is not a product or technology, but a comprehensive industrial concept, which will be composed of a variety of products and technologies. For example, low-power chips, low-latency networks, cloud computing, terminal devices that support VR and AR, and matching operating systems. At the same time, meta-universe also needs new developers and content creators ecology.

Chen Rui said that meta-universe will be a world in which every user can participate in ecological co-construction. The digital world in meta-universe will be a content ecology, in which massive content cannot be provided by several companies, and UGC content (user-generated content) will become the mainstream of meta-universe. In meta-universe, users are both consumers and producers of digital content.

According to reports, at present, more than 90% of bilibili's content is produced by creators, with an average of 3.8 million creators uploading more than 12.6 million videos per month. Chen Rui predicts that a huge amount of digital content in meta-universe will also be created by users like UP master, and creating digital content in meta-universe will become a profession. Bilibili will strive to become the mainstream content platform of the meta-universe and serve the creators.
