CTOnews.com, Aug. 29, Google's Fuchsia team has begun a new effort to allow ADB tools to manage Fuchsia devices, just like Android phones.

ADB is an acronym for "Android Debug Bridge", and as its name implies, the tool can "bridge" two devices together. Developers and geeks can use ADB to access some of the core components of Android phones and tablets from PC devices.

More importantly, the ADB tool can run on every major desktop platform-Windows, macOS, and Linux (and extended ChromeOS), so Fuchsia OS wants one, too.

This week, the Fuchsia team requested a new merger called "ADB on Fuchsia", but currently shows a merge conflict.

CTOnews.com learned that the core "fx" and "ffx" tools currently used to control Fuchsia devices are only compatible with Linux and macOS devices, while compatibility with Windows devices will not be completed until the end of the year.

Therefore, given the versatility and universality, it seems that ADB is a better choice.

In addition, according to the submission, the Google Fuchsia team seems to intend to support only four ADB commands:

Adb shell: internal command prompt for accessing the device

Adb logcat: used to output device log

Adb push: used to push files to the device

Adb pull: used to extract files from the device

Google's internal operating system Fuchsia currently supports only the company's two smart displays, Nest Hub and Nest Hub Max, and it's not clear when it will be rolled out to mobile devices such as phones and tablets, so we can look forward to it.
