CTOnews.com August 31, Japan's Kakagawa Group (KADOKAWA) announced on August 31 that the merged subsidiary FromSoftware will issue new shares to Tencent Holdings's gaming company Sixjoy Hong Kong and Sony Interactive Entertainment Co., Ltd. (SIE) through a third-party placement.

FromSoftware will raise 36.4 billion yen by issuing new shares for the company's IP development and set up a global publishing network, the statement said. After the offering, Sixjoy Hong Kong's 16.25% stake became the second largest shareholder in FromSoftware, Sony Interactive Entertainment 14.09% was its third largest shareholder, and Kokawa Group remained its largest shareholder with 69.66%.

CTOnews.com learned that FromSoftware is a Japanese video game development company known for developing "Soul" games, represented as "Soul of the Devil" series, "Soul of Darkness" series, "Wolf" and "Elden Ring" and so on. FromSoftware was acquired by Kokawa Group in 2014 and became its subsidiary.
