Shandong Airlines said that after the delivery of the freighter, Shan Airlines will build a network of passenger and cargo routes with Jinan and Qingdao as the main hub, facing Japan and South Korea and covering Asia, and will soon open freighter routes from Qingdao to Osaka and Nagoya, followed by the opening of a number of domestic and international freighter routes.
CTOnews.com learned that the first 737-800BCF of Shan Airlines entered the approval stage of the Civil Aviation Administration's formal supplementary operation on August 26, and is expected to be put into operation on September 26 after completing the bureau's review and certification.
According to Boeing, the completion and delivery of Shanhai's first B737-800 freighter marks the first major airline in China to operate the aircraft.
