Retherin found that many developers copied his FlickType and launched a large number of similar keyboard tools, and some plagiarists even stole Retherin's software promotion videos.

In the Apple App Store, Retherin also found a large number of fake user reviews copied and pasted, which gave false five-star ratings. Retherin was deeply disappointed by the user review team of Apple App Store.

Last year, after apple released the "apple watch 7 series," it launched an official keyboard software with swipe input because of the new watch's larger screen, and mr lesserin sued the company for plagiarism.

Retherin reportedly refused to let Apple's keyboard software list many times in the past, but at the same time, many fake Retherin products are openly available for download, and Retherin believes that Apple's move has cost him financial revenue.

Retherin said he had talked to Apple about buying his software. However, he found that the official keyboard configured in the Apple Watch Series 7 and his FlickType function closely resembled each other, and then chose to look for an explanation in court.

Retherin's lawsuit, of course, is not just about Apple's official software imitation function. He accuses Apple of lacking in the management of the App Store. In fact, for Apple, as long as third-party developers can sell high-priced members to users, Apple will benefit.

According to the latest reports, Apple has settled its lawsuit with Retherin. Apple and Kpaw, a company owned by Lesserin, signed a final settlement agreement after both parties filed papers to dismiss the lawsuit in court on July 21.

Details of the settlement were not immediately available, particularly whether Apple compensated Reselin for financial losses.

In 2021, Apple restored an official tool in the app store called "Report a Problem," after which users can report fraudulent software to Apple if they find it in the store. This tool is listed in the "info" section of the app store, along with software type, age rating, and so on.
