The founder of the cryptocurrency platform was arrested for absconding with $2 billion and faced more than 40, 000 years in prison
CTOnews.com, September 2, according to Tom's Hardware, the founder of Thodex, a Turkish cryptocurrency exchange service, was arrested in Albania. ö zer fled the country last year with $2 billion (13.8 billion yuan) worth of cryptocurrency and faces up to 40,564 years in prison.
There were several scams in the cryptocurrency circle last year, valued at $7.7 billion. ö zer fled Turkey in April 2021 with approximately $2 billion belonging to approximately 400000 Thodex customers.
More than a year later, ö zer was arrested in Albania. Interpol issued an order for the arrest of zer, who was found by local authorities in Vlor ë, Albania. The identity of ö zer has been verified by biometric results.
