Microsoft Win11 taskbar tablet UI returns: the icon is larger and can be automatically hidden into thin strips

What Microsoft said at the time was that, according to feedback from early testers, the effect was not ideal, so the feature would not return anytime soon. Four months later, however, the design came back.

According to information found by @ PhantomOfEarth, users can manually open a tablet UI on this taskbar in Windows 11 Dev preview version 25193 released today.

This setting is in the "taskbar behavior" under the Windows 11 taskbar settings, and when the user checks this option, the optimized taskbar, which is the UI mentioned above, will be automatically displayed in the tablet form.

Enter vivetool / enable / id:26008830 and press enter

Restart the computer

You can type vivetool / disable / id:26008830 if you want to turn it off.
