CTOnews.com, September 4, WebKit is the open source Web browser engine used by many App on Apple's Safari, Mail, App Store and macOS, iOS, and Linux.

On August 31, WebKit announced that it had migrated to Git and Microsoft GitHub.

According to the official blog, on June 23, the WebKit project froze its Subversion tree (another open source version control system) and transferred management and interaction with source code to Git on Microsoft GitHub.
