CTOnews.com, Sept. 4-Apple is developing at least three (AR) augmented reality and (VR) virtual reality devices, the first of which may be named "Apple Reality Pro," according to Bloomberg Mark Gurman.

In the latest Power On newsletter, Gurman explained that he knows that at least three Apple AR / VR devices are under active development, codenamed "N301", "N602" and "N421".

The first of these devices, the N301, will be an Apple Reality Pro device. Apple Reality Pro is said to be a "high-end competitor" to the company's upcoming Quest Pro devices from Meta. The N602 is reported to be the successor to Apple Reality Pro, and the price may be lower. The N421 is a long-rumored Apple augmented reality device, but Gurman says the device will not be launched any time soon.

Gurman's latest report that the Gurman:Apple Reality Pro will be the first of Apple's three AR / VR devices shows the name of Apple's first AR / VR device. It is worth noting that the name "Reality Pro" is consistent with Apple's recent trademark application. Recently, Bloomberg reported that Apple has registered trademarks for terms related to AR / VR devices, including "Reality Processor", "Reality Pro" and "Reality One".

CTOnews.com has learned that Apple plans to release its first AR / VR device as soon as January 2023, with potential features including two 4K miniature OLED displays, 15 optical modules, two main processors, Wi-Fi 6e connections, eye tracking, object tracking and gesture control. The exact price point of the device is unclear, but some reports suggest it will cost around $3000 (about 20760 yuan).
