Lenovo public welfare foundation donates 500000 yuan for earthquake relief in Luding, Sichuan.

CTOnews.com Sept. 6, Lenovo Public Welfare Foundation announced today that it will donate 500000 yuan to the China Rural Development Foundation to carry out the "Luding earthquake disaster Relief" special operation.

CTOnews.com learned that 12:52 on September 5, a magnitude 6.8 earthquake occurred in Luding County, Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan Province (29.59N, 102.08 E) with a focal depth of 16km. As of 14:00 on the 6th, the earthquake had caused 66 deaths (including 38 in Ganzi Prefecture and 28 in Ya'an City), 15 missing and 253 injured (including 5 critical and 70 seriously injured).

At present, relevant ministries and commissions of the state, relevant provincial departments, disaster-stricken cities (states) and counties are acting rapidly, all kinds of rescue forces are urgently available, cadres and people in the disaster areas are watching and helping each other, and earthquake relief work is being carried out intensively.
