It is reported that Apple's iPhone 14 Plus will be equipped with an enhanced A15 chip, and graphics performance is the only difference.

CTOnews.com, September 7, just before Apple prepares to release the iPhone 14 series, the Wall Street Journal Tim Higgins reported that the low-end iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus models will be equipped with an "enhanced version" of the previous generation of A15 bionic chips, but he did not give detailed parameters, most likely the so-called "full blood A15."

According to macrumors, the improved graphics performance may be the only change in the A15 chip in the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus, but the other parts are no different from the 6-core CPU and 16-core neural engine versions in the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro.

CTOnews.com learned that Apple launched a new generation of A15 bionic chip at this time last year, using 5nm technology to "kill" the whole audience with 15 billion transistors, with two CPU cores and four CPU cores, and the AI computing power is as high as 15.8TOPS.

Although the names are all A15, Apple has directly split the A15 chip into different versions for iPad mini6, iPhone 13 / mini, and iPhone 13 Pro / Max.

On the whole, the A15 chip carries a new 6-core CPU in CPU, including 2 performance cores and 4 energy efficiency cores. The A15 of ordinary iPhone 13 has one less GPU core than the A15 chip on Pro, so its performance is slightly inadequate.

In addition, the only difference between A15 in Apple iPad mini 6 is that the main frequency of CPU is slightly lower, and the performance of GPU is unlimited.

According to Guo Mingyi's report in March, only Apple's iPhone 14 Pro model will be upgraded to Apple's latest A16 chip this year to achieve faster CPU performance and, by the way, make the difference between its standard model and Pro model more obvious. Of course, the two versions could also be called A16 and A16 Pro, because naming doesn't matter at all.

Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max at an event at the Steve Jobs Theater early tomorrow morning, with many exclusive new features expected for the Pro model and upgrades for the conventional RAM model.

"revelation: Apple iPhone 14 / Max performance will be improved even though it is still an A15 chip."
