Galaxy Aerospace said the development of stackable flat-panel satellites will contribute to the mass production of satellites and the rapid deployment of large-scale constellations.

CTOnews.com learned that Galaxy Aerospace, founded in 2018, is the first unicorn enterprise in the field of commercial aerospace and satellite Internet in China. Recently, Galaxy Aerospace completed the latest round of financing, with a post-investment valuation of about 11 billion yuan.

On March 5 this year, China's first batch of six low-orbit broadband communication satellites, Galaxy Aerospace 02, were successfully launched. Together with the first Galaxy space stars, these satellites formed China's first low-orbit broadband communication test constellation, and built a 5G test network for satellite-to-ground integration-- "Little Spider Web."

At present, "Little Spider Web" has completed a number of satellite Internet application verifications. including the first domestic Leo broadband communication satellite and 5G private network integration test, domestic first V-band Leo satellite measurement and control, Leo broadband test constellation vehicle "moving communication" test and multi-satellite continuous communication test, etc., has taken an important step in the construction of satellite-to-ground integration network.

When talking about the latest round of financing, Xu Ming, founder, chairman and CEO of Galaxy Aerospace, said that this round of financing will mainly be used for the research and development of satellite Internet-related technologies and commercial applications. Galaxy Aerospace will accelerate the development of core technologies such as stackable flat-panel satellites, multi-beam phased array technology with flexible deployment on board, flexible solar wings, digital processing payloads, and accelerate the construction of low-cost batch manufacturing capabilities of satellites.
