AMD Announces R9 PRO 5945 Desktop processor: 12-Core 24-Thread, 65W TDP
CTOnews.com, September 7 (Xinhua)-- the AMD website has now released the parameters of the new R9 PRO 5945, which will be designed for OEM and is expected to be installed on high-end commercial desktops.
CTOnews.com learned that the R9 PRO 5945 processor is based on Zen3 architecture, 7nm technology, 12-core 24-thread specification, main frequency 3.8GHz, acceleration frequency 4.7GHz TDP 64MB three-level cache, 65W TDP, no kernel display, no overclocking, but supports AMD's "PRO" technology, with more security and manageability.
For comparison, the retail R9 5900X has 12 cores, 24 threads, main frequency 3.7GHz, acceleration frequency 4.8 GHz, 105W TDP, and supports overclocking.
At present, there are no commercial desktops with R9 PRO 5945 on the market.
