BMW China recalls 569 imported IX cars: crash safety module software is not written correctly
CTOnews.com, September 9, according to the website of the State Administration of Market Supervision, a few days ago, BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration in accordance with the requirements of the regulations on the recall of defective Automobile products and the measures for the implementation of the regulations on the recall of defective Automobile products.
BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. will now recall some imported BMW IX cars from August 2, 2021 to May 12, 2022.
CTOnews.com learned that the collision safety module software of the vehicles within the scope of the recall was not written correctly, resulting in the module unable to correctly monitor the vehicle speed, driving direction and outdoor temperature transmitted in the bus system. The vehicle instrument can not light the alarm lamp and prompt the relevant alarm information normally, so there is a safety hidden danger.
BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. will program vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge to eliminate safety risks.
