Small storage of bad news, Apple iPhone 14 Pro series takes up three times as much space as before to take 4800 megapixel photos.

CTOnews.com, September 9 (Xinhua)-- Apple held a new product conference in the early hours of yesterday morning and officially launched the iPhone 14 series of handsets, a total of four models of iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, starting at 5999 yuan. Reservations will start at 8 o'clock tonight.

According to Macrumors today, its author Steve Moser found in the code of iOS 16 that the ProRAW format photos taken using the 4800 megapixel main camera on Apple's iPhone 14 Pro series are about the size of 75MB, which is three times larger than the 1200 megapixel photos taken on the iPhone 13 Pro series.

At the same time, the full range of hands-on videos of Apple iPhone 14 released by YouTube channel Sara Dietschy show that the volume of the photo taken with the 4800 megapixel master photo is 80.4MB, and the photo resolution is 8064 × 6048, which means that if users want to take more ProRAW photos with this 4800 megapixel master photo, they need to provide more storage space to save the photos, which is bad news for the small storage version.

CTOnews.com learned that Apple used a 4800-megapixel camera for the first time on the iPhone 14 Pro series, which has a 24mm focal length, aperture / 1.78mm, and supports four-in-one pixel technology. Using Apple's machine learning model tailored for four-in-one pixel sensors, the iPhone 14 Pro can capture ProRAW images with 4800 megapixels in an unprecedented amount of detail.
