Construction of Intel's new Ohio park begins, with a total investment of $100 billion

CTOnews.com Sept. 9 news, according to foreign media reports, Intel will be located in Columbus, Ohio near Lijin County, a park for two wafer founders to hold the groundbreaking ceremony. The president of the United States and the governor of Ohio will attend the ceremony with Intel CEO.

According to reports, the new manufacturing base will be able to accommodate up to eight chip manufacturing facilities and will require an investment of about US $100 billion over time.

It is reported that the first two fabs at Intel's Ohio manufacturing facility will cost about $20 billion and will be built at the same time, which is expected to be launched in 2025. The new park covers an area of about 1000 acres (4 square kilometers) and will be able to accommodate up to eight semiconductor fab factories.

Intel did not say which production nodes its new fab will use, which are expected to be able to use Intel's 20A and 18A manufacturing technology to make chips in terms of the timeline.
