Suppliers in Apple's Mac supply chain are preparing for upcoming MacBook Pro shipments by slowing down the production of existing Mac, according to DigiTimes. DigiTimes pointed out that following the release of the second generation of the AirPods Pro last week, Apple's suppliers are also reducing production of the first generation of the AirPods Pro.

Apple is expected to release new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro with M2 Pro and M2 Max chips in the near future. Bloomberg Mark Gurman reports that Apple plans to hold an event focusing on Mac and iPad next month. Gurman said that the development of an updated device is under way and could be launched as soon as this fall.

CTOnews.com has been informed that the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models are expected to retain the same design as the October 2021 model, but add performance and energy efficiency to the M2 Pro and M2 Max chips. It is expected that these chips will still be based on 5nm process, and the number of GPU cores and RAM may increase compared to M1 equivalent products.

In addition to the updated MacBook Pro, Apple may also plan to announce an upgraded Mac mini with M2 chip, a new iPad Pro model and an Apple Silicon chip version of Mac Pro at next month's event.
