Developers support Apple's "Smart Island" design and have developed related games for iPhone 14 Pro

CTOnews.com, September 14 (Xinhua)-- in the latest iPhone 14 Pro series, Apple has presented an ingenious "smart island" design that can make good use of the original "exclamation point" punching area to turn a disadvantage into an advantage, winning praise from countless fans.

In order to make better use of this interaction design, Apple will naturally allow third-party developers to use its "Smart Island" for adaptation, which may include a series of games and streaming applications that can bring "Smart Island" related designs.

Now, Kriss Smolka, the developer of applications such as WaterMinder and HabitMinder, today shared a simple "smart island" game Demo based on the classic game Pong.

In the demonstration, players can use the "smart island" box at the top and the slider at the bottom of the game to collide with the ball to make it bounce up, which makes full use of the top "smart island" area, thus "turning waste into treasure".

Smolka said the game "turned out well," but there were some lag issues that needed to be addressed. When a netizen asked whether the game made use of Apple's API, he replied that it was hard-coded entirely on his own. Whether Apple will allow this game involving dynamic Island remains to be seen, but there is no doubt that it is a very creative way to achieve it.

CTOnews.com learned that Smart Island is a UI interaction designed by Apple to make up for the shortcomings of the punched screen, thus cleverly avoiding the shortcomings of the screen panel itself, increasing the screen share while making it as playable and interesting as possible.
