China Nuclear Power: units 3 and 4 of Fujian Zhangzhou Nuclear Power Project have been approved, and the rated power of a single unit is 1212MW.
CTOnews.com, September 14, China Nuclear Power announced that on September 13, after consideration by the executive meeting of the State Council, it was decided to approve the No. 3 and No. 4 units of the Zhangzhou nuclear power project in Fujian Province, which have been comprehensively reviewed and included in the national planning.
CTOnews.com learned that China Nuclear Power said that Zhangzhou Energy Co., Ltd., which is controlled by the company, is the owner of the approved project and is responsible for project investment, construction and operation management. The project is the second phase expansion project within the planned capacity of the plant site, the model is Hualong No.1, and the rated electric power of a single unit is 1212MW.
China Nuclear Power pointed out in the announcement that at present, the project site is steadily and orderly advancing the preparatory work before the start of construction. The company currently does not have any other information that should be disclosed but not disclosed.
According to CCTV news, the executive meeting of the State Council decided to approve the second phase of Zhangzhou in Fujian and the first phase of Lianjiang in Guangdong, requiring absolute safety.
