CTOnews.com learned that Evergrande Group today announced the official mass production of Hengchi 5 in its Tianjin plant. According to the official website, at the beginning of 2019, Evergrande began to lay out the new energy vehicle industry; on December 30 last year, Hengchi 5 took its first car off the line; on July 6, it opened a global pre-sale, with orders exceeding 37000 vehicles in less than 15 days; today, Hengchi 5 is officially in mass production and delivery will begin in October.

In terms of vehicle models, Evergrande Automobile Group released six models of Hengchi in August 2020, including Hengchi 1, Hengchi 2, Hengchi 3, Hengchi 4, Hengchi 5 and Hengchi 6, covering all levels from A to D, as well as passenger cars such as cars, sedan cars, SUV, MPV, crossovers and so on.

In addition, as one of the largest car companies in China, GAC GROUP sold 217838 vehicles in August, an increase of 78.02 percent over the same period last year, of which 30443 new energy vehicles were sold, an increase of 137.61 percent over the same period last year.
