Global smartphone panels are still in oversupply in CINNO:9 month, and prices continue to fall.
CTOnews.com, September 17, yesterday, CINNO released a report saying that in September, due to the impact of the epidemic and the continuing global economic downturn, the global smartphone market demand is still weak, consumers' desire to change phones has declined, and the average replacement cycle has been prolonged.
The report points out that although the entire hangar of terminal brands is gradually consumed due to the peak season effect, brand manufacturers are still short of stock momentum in middle and low-end product projects, and the global smartphone panel is still in a state of oversupply, leading to a continuous decline in the price of mobile phone panels.
CTOnews.com learned that CINNO Research expects a-Si / LTPS panel prices to remain in the downward channel in September and October, and prices will continue to fall by $0.10.
In terms of rigid AMOLED, Samsung, the main manufacturer of rigid AMOLED panels, shows that the prices of existing projects remain unchanged and will actively strive for new project orders at more advantageous prices.
In terms of flexible AMOLED, with the continuous increase of the production capacity of domestic flexible AMOLED panel factories, various manufacturers have seized project orders with aggressive price strategies to fill the capacity gap, and the price of flexible AMOLED panels has continued to decline, and even some brands of low-end models have begun to carry flexible AMOLED panels. CINNO Research predicts that flexible AMOLED panel prices will continue to fall by $1 in September and October.
