CTOnews.com, Sept. 18 (Xinhua) according to CCTV news, the Chinese space station will carry out three more major launches in the coming months.
Among them, the Mengtian experimental module will be launched in October and docked with the core module of the Chinese space station. After launch, the Mengtian experimental module will eventually form a T configuration with the sky and core module and the third module of the experimental module, which also marks the completion of the National Space Laboratory.
CTOnews.com learned that China will also launch Tianzhou V cargo spacecraft and Shenzhou 15 manned spacecraft after that. The flight crew of Shenzhou 15 manned spacecraft will be composed of three astronauts and will rendezvous with Shenzhou 14 by the end of this year. At that time, the Chinese space station will have six astronauts stationed in orbit together.
At present, the astronauts of Shenzhou 14 are stationed in orbit. On June 5, the Shenzhou XIV manned spacecraft was successfully launched. Since then, three astronauts, Chen Dong, Liu Yang and Cai Xuzhe, have launched a six-month mission.
