Jack Dorsey, co-founder of social media company Twitter, will be questioned on Tuesday about Twitter's lawsuit against his old friend Elon Musk, according to court documents.

Mr Dorsey, who stepped down as chief executive of Twitter last year, has actively supported Mr Musk's $44 billion acquisition of the company, and Twitter is suing Mr Musk. Although Dorsey was summoned by Musk last month, he will be questioned by lawyers on both sides via Zoom on Tuesday morning local time.

Musk withdrew his offer in July, accusing Twitter of failing to abide by his contract and failing to provide information to assess the popularity of robots on social media platforms. Since then, dozens of people, banks and funds have received subpoenas in the legal battle in Delaware. After efforts to gather information and interview dignitaries in the deal, the trial schedule was accelerated, scheduled to begin on October 17 and last for five days.
