According to Daimler truck China official WeChat, the first prototype of eActros LongHaul pure electric long-distance heavy truck has completed intensive testing and will be tested on public roads this year. Next year, customer testing will begin for a prototype car that is close to mass production. In terms of configuration, the total capacity of the three battery packs of the eActros LongHaul pure electric long-distance heavy truck exceeds 600kWh. The new electric shaft is equipped with two motors with a continuous output power of 400kW and a peak output power of more than 600kW. The mileage of the eActros LongHaul after a single charge is about 500km.

Daimler truck officials say the company's development engineers are refining the eActros LongHaul design, which aims to make the vehicle and parts as durable as traditional long-distance heavy trucks, that is, 1.2 million kilometers within a decade. It is reported that the battery carried by eActros LongHaul adopts lithium iron phosphate technology, which is characterized by longer service life and more available energy. In charging stations with an output power of about 1 megawatt, mass-produced eActros LongHaul batteries can be recharged from 20% to 80% in 30 minutes.

CTOnews.com learned that in addition to the range of the vehicle itself, eActros LongHaul pure electric long-distance heavy trucks can also extend mileage through electric trailers. Daimler truck officials say that when carrying the eTrailer jointly developed by technology company Trailer Dynamics and trailer maker Krone, the mass-produced eActros LongHaul is expected to have a range of more than 800km on a single charge.
