According to official introduction, LONGi Green Energy Future Energy Space Laboratory aims to promote the integration and development of aerospace technology and new energy, the transformation and industrialization of scientific and technological achievements. In the future, it will focus on breakthroughs in four aspects: efficient and leading technology products, safe and reliable space verification, improved aerospace quality, and energy trends for future development, including but not limited to trends in new energy industries, the combination of solar energy and aerospace, space environment verification, Energy monitoring satellites and solar energy space transmission and other aspects of research and foreign cooperation. Through the relevant work of the laboratory, the advanced technologies of future energy will be verified in space, and the development of future energy-related technologies will be promoted by space verification, and finally the aerospace achievements will benefit people's lives through the research and development and application of solar energy technology.

At the same time, as the first major project after the establishment of the Future Energy Space Laboratory, LONGi's new technology products will be applied for space launch, subjected to harsh space environment tests, and explored the reliability of new products in space environment. Combined with the experimental results carried in space, the actual environment of outer space is simulated on the ground to monitor the change of relevant performance of the product, laying a theoretical and experimental foundation for the promotion of the practical application of the product and broadening the application field of the product. This means that in the future, LONGi may launch solar panels into space.

At the scene, Dr. Xu Xixiang, Vice President of LONGi Green Energy Central Research Institute, will also send samples of new technology products planned to be carried in space.

CTOnews.com learned that Dong Shiwei's team at the China Academy of Space Technology published a paper in China Space Science and Technology in June this year, saying that China will launch a test satellite in 2028 to test wireless power transmission technology from space to 400 kilometers on the ground, that is, China's first solar power plant will be built in space in 2028, two years ahead of schedule.
