Xinwanda: plan to invest 21.3 billion yuan to build a new energy power battery production base project

It is reported that the investment in the project is mainly engaged in the production and sales of lithium-ion power batteries and energy storage batteries, including automotive power batteries and energy storage batteries, modules, PACK and battery systems. The total investment of the project is about 21.3 billion yuan, of which the investment in fixed assets is about 16 billion yuan. It is planned to build a 50GWh production base for power batteries and energy storage batteries.
It is worth mentioning that Xinwanda issued an announcement on September 15 not long ago, the subsidiary Xinwanda car battery plans to sign the "Investment Agreement for Xinwanda Dongfeng Yichang Power Battery production Base Project" with the people's Government of Yichang City, Dongfeng Group and Dongfeng Hongtai. The investment in this project is mainly engaged in the research, design, production and sales of power battery cells, modules, PACK and battery systems. The total investment of the project is about 12 billion yuan, planning and construction of 30GWh power battery production base: the project is divided into two phases, the first phase investment is about 8 billion yuan, the planning and construction of 20GWh power battery project; the second phase investment of about 4 billion yuan, planning and construction of 10GWh power battery project.
Since March 2021, according to incomplete statistics, Xinwanda has disclosed 14 cases in which the total amount of foreign investment exceeded 110 billion yuan.
CTOnews.com learned that from January to August this year, Xinwanda power battery installed 4.04GWh, accounting for 2.5% of the market, ranking fifth among domestic battery factories, according to the China Automotive Power Battery Industry Innovation Alliance, followed by Ningde Times, BYD, China New Airlines and Guoxuan Hi-Tech.
