Microsoft partnered with Forrester Research to determine the economic impact of using Windows 11 Enterprise and Microsoft 365 through Intune. Based on interviews with multiple organizations, both sides determined that customers who adopt Microsoft's latest operating system and cloud-driven Microsoft 365 services could save millions of dollars over the next three years. The report is summarized as follows:

Forrester Research's Total Economy Report chart for Windows 11 shows what organizations can do to drive more companies to use Windows 11, with Microsoft highlighting the operating system's strengths old and new. This includes promoting the latest security enhancements in Windows 11 2022 Update, Windows Autopatch, insights in Endpoint Manager, application security, targeted organizational messaging, and accessibility enhancements.

CTOnews.com has learned that Microsoft has also been working on solutions that integrate Microsoft Store with Intune. This will give IT administrators more control over application deployment and updates and is designed to provide a better experience than Microsoft Store for enterprises. Microsoft is also enhancing Universal Printing solutions for Azure virtual desktop customers. This month, they'll get downloadable reports, real-time dashboards, and support for Web Excel.

Another area getting improvements with the Windows 11 2022 update is Virtual Team Meetings, which is getting new features for Windows Studio effects. Microsoft describes it as follows:

"With the Windows 11 2022 update, we added a new meeting feature called Windows Studio Effects to help make better video and audio calls. Effects such as voice focus help filter background noise and make better eye contact with the audience even if we need to occasionally look at the monitor to consult notes. "

Microsoft stressed that Forrester results show that Windows 11 makes users 5-15% more productive, so organizations should consider upgrading to the new operating system immediately rather than waiting and updating to Windows 10 version 22H2 (which will be available later this year).
