CTOnews.com Sept. 22, Apple today released Safari browser Technology Preview 154, including bug fixes and performance improvements for Web Inspector, CSS, JavaScript, rendering, reporting API, Web API, accessibility, media and intelligent tracking prevention.

Safari browser Technical Preview 154is based on Safari 16 updates and includes support for features in macOS Ventura, such as real-time text, passwords, Web extension improvements, etc.

Unlike previous versions of Safari browser Technology Preview, the new Safari browser Technology Preview is compatible with machines running macOS 13 Ventura, but it is no longer available for macOS Big Sur.

According to the update announcement, Safari browser Technical Preview 154fixes the inability to play WebM files, an open, free media file format proposed by Google.

CTOnews.com learned that the Safari browser Technology Preview can be run with existing Safari browsers, and although it is designed for developers, it can be downloaded without a developer account.
