CRRC data show that compared with traditional bogies, power "bow" bogies reduce weight by 25%, non-power bogies by 35%, vehicle energy consumption by 15%, wheel / rail wear by 30%, noise by 2 to 3 decibels, and life cycle cost by 15%.

In addition, the CRRC designer places the optical fiber sensor in the bogie frame and uses intelligent devices such as electronically controlled braking, so that the "bow" bogie has the function of monitoring its own health status and sensing the state between the line and the vehicle. make the train operation more intelligent, safe and reliable.
