CTOnews.com learned that Honeycomb Energy said that the joint venture between Teng Qingqing Regeneration Resources (Shangrao) Co., Ltd., which is 100% owned by Honeycomb Energy, and Guizhou Zhongwei Resources Recycling Industry Development Co., Ltd., a holding subsidiary of Zhongwei New Materials Co., Ltd., was officially launched in Shangrao, Jiangxi Province. The move marks the official entry of Honeycomb Energy into the field of battery recycling.

According to reports, the Ivy League Company will adopt the four-stage physical crushing treatment method to harmlessly disassemble the scrapped electric core, pole group, and pole sheet to black powder, copper powder, and aluminum powder. While achieving environmental protection, the recovery rate of black powder can reach 99%. Maximize the recovery efficiency, while reducing the cost of subsequent hydrometallurgical smelting.

In addition, Honeycomb Energy disassembles the scrapped core into black powder through Ivy League and then introduces it into honeycomb supplier system for hydrometallurgy to further manufacture precursors and cathode materials. The joint venture company plans to build a production line for electrode and battery disassembly and recycling in two phases.
